This 'how to ride a bike in Amsterdam' video is silly, yet super instructional.

Honestly, it's probably the best thing I've seen on the internet all day. And that's saying something!

Let the Bike Instructor guide you through the potential pitfalls of cycling in Amsterdam, and soon you’ll be cycling just like a local! Go to www.iamsterdam.com/bikeinstructor to find out more about cycling in Amsterdam.

Cycling in Amsterdam can sometimes feel like a bit of a minefield to the uninitiated. Thankfully, Maxim Hartman aka The Bike Instructor is on hand to guide you through the various dangers of navigating the city on two wheels.

The one thing I noticed when I moved to town last August, was 1) how much nicer the weather was here than my hometown of Shreveport and 2) how many people rides bikes all over town.

Now, don't get me wrong. I would see the occasional kid on a bike in my neighborhoods, or group of cyclists on a 2 lane country road. But across town travel? Not feasible. No bike lanes and the average temps for the summer months 90 or above, the same months here 82 or below. So, you'd show up a sweaty mess anywhere you go.

Not sexy.

My wife and I are on a house hunt, one of my goals for the house is for it to be in biking distance to downtown (where my office is). Of course that's like priority number 35 on the list. Still, just saying, it would be nice.
