Another Grand Rapids Restaurant Closing…

First it's the Perkins chain of family eateries, now a slightly older food and drink establishment is throwing in the towel. Our broadcast partner WZZM 13 is reporting the Grand Rapids Brewing Company on 28th Street is closing this weekend.

TV 13 says the business, which has been in operation since 1893, has decided to close, but isn't saying why. One could speculate it has to do with the competition along the busy roadway and the economy. The 7 West Michigan Perkins restaurants closed Sunday after it's parent company filed for bankruptcy.
