Open positions at the airport include mechanics, airport ambassadors, security guards, cooks, customer service agents and cashiers. The career fair is scheduled to take place Tuesday, July 20 at DoubleTree by Hilton from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Double Tree Hotel is located at 4747 28th Street in Grand Rapids.

Human Resources Director Maureen Lynch with the Ford Airport Authority told Fox 17,

"This is a tremendous opportunity to work at or for the Ford Airport, which connects West Michigan with the world. Whether you are starting your career or looking for the next challenge, we have a job for you – at one of the coolest locations in West Michigan."

No advance registration is necessary. Some employers will hire on the spot at the event. The airport along with 12 of their tenants and service providers are looking to fill positions. Some of the companies that will be at the Career Fair include:

There are several positions open at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority. From the electricians who keep the runway lights bright to the accounting specialists who pay the bills.
