It truly is better to give than receive, and when your gift is life saving, it means so much to so many.

The holiday season is a tough time for local blood banks, as some regular donors are out of town or otherwise unable to give. That's where you can step in and fill their big shoes with a donation of your own.

As the holiday hustle and bustle winds up, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. So why not take a break and make a lifesaving difference for someone right here in Michigan? Give the gift of life this holiday season by donating blood with Michigan Blood.

Bree Town received over 100 transfusions thanks to generous Michigan Blood donors.
Your donation can help save the life of someone like 11-year-old Bree Town. Two years ago, Town was diagnosed with leukemia. Throughout her treatment, she received over 100 transfusions, each one possible because of generous Michigan Blood donors.

“When doctors said I had leukemia I got a bunch of blood transfusions,” says Bree. “In February, I had a marrow transplant and more blood, but now I’m cancer-free. Thank you Michigan Blood donors.”

Michigan Blood, along with the Town family, are asking Michigan residents to give from the heart this holiday season by donating blood at a Michigan Blood donor center.

As a thank you for donating, Michigan Blood is providing a free Fandango movie voucher to anyone who attempts to donate during an upcoming Holiday Special Event. Fandango movie vouchers can be redeemed online for a movie ticket at most theaters across the state. Special event dates and times vary by location:
