Queen is finally releasing the fast version of "We Will Rock You", in a new box set that's coming out next week.

Bootleg versions of the different take on the song have been around for years, but this is the first time it's being officially released.

The version of the song will officially be released next month as part of the band's Queen On Air: The Complete BBC Sessions, a version has surfaced online so you can give it a listen below. This version was recorded for the BBC shortly before lead singer Freedie Mercury left the band prior to his death due to AIDS in 1991.

In other Queen news, the band's Brian May has been forced to cancel his upcoming concert commitments with May explaining he’s suffering from “a persistent illness which is destroying my energy and my will.”

Brian and Kerry Ellis were set to head out on a three-week “Candlelight Christmas Tour” in December. “I’m gutted to have to pull out - I hate letting our loyal fans down,” he writes on his website. “But the advice I have had is that I must take time off to heal, rather than go out on tour again and risk falling down on the job, which would be much worse.”

No word what's ailing him, but we do wish him well.
