The Casey & JoJo Show waking you up each morning from 5:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. on 98.7 WFGR!
JoJo was born one of a family of eight in Saginaw, Michigan. They were loud and more often talked ‘at’ each other than ‘to’ each other, a skill which is perfect for radio.
After graduating from Central Michigan University, JoJo worked at a station in Northern Michigan that had as much wattage as a refrigerator light bulb. He went from there to working on a Mexican radio station, where he was eventually kicked out for being an illegal immigrant.
JoJo’s radio travels then took him to the Michigan Lakeshore at 104.5 WSNX and then on to Baltimore, where he enjoyed a modicum of success.
In his spare time, JoJo enjoy hurting himself with homemade CrossFit workouts and flinging paint on canvas and calling it ‘art’. He also has three daughters, who think he teaches college for a living.
Casey lived in Centerville, Ohio until she was 16 and went to high school with Kirk Herbstreit from ESPN. They misspelled his name in the yearbook.
After graduating from Ferris State University (Go Bulldogs!) & The Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, the radio world sent Casey to Lansing, Michigan. Casey also worked on the air in Detroit and Indianapolis.
Her radio career took her to South Bend, Indiana where she spent many years. It was in South Bend that her daughter was raised.
For a brief moment she worked in Tallahassee, Florida before returning to the Midwest and joining JoJo in Grand Rapids. In her free time, Casey enjoys riding her bad-ass Harley-Davidson while listening to music. vroom vroom.
