Blandford Nature Center has a new resident. He is a baby North American porcupine named Quillber. He is the nature center's newest Wildlife Ambassador. You can visit the little guy from the Wildlife Trail during your next visit.
Mary Jane Dockery, the founder of Blandford Nature Center, has passed away at the age of 93. Her death was reported on a Facebook post from Blandford Nature Center this morning.

It’s a weekend of Fireworks and 4th of July celebrations, but there are other things going on as well. We have a Book Sale, Baseball, Nature, Salsa Dancing, an Ice Cream Social for the Dog, Yoga AND Beer (together!), Science, Peaches, and Pinball.
This Saturday is the Amway Riverbank Run. Sunday is Mother’s Day! Along with that, we have the Tulip Festival, West Michigan Whitecaps baseball, food trucks, Alice in Wonderland, Star Wars, comedy, a nature walk, and bonsai trees.
