Grand Rapids Drive Opens NBA D-League for 2014-15 Season on Nov. 15
The Grand Rapids Drive has released its schedule for the 2014-15 season, the team’s inaugural run in the NBA Development League. The Drive opens its season with a four-game road trip with a four-game road trip starting Nov. 15 at Bakersfield, the Phoenix Suns' California-based affiliate. In March it was announced that Grand Rapids would be getting an NBA Development League basketball team to be affiliated with the Detroit Pistons. The franchise originally came from Springfield, Massachusetts and was named the Springfield Armor, but clearly the team needs a new name to reflect its new home!
