I would be lying if I said this video didn't remind me of this past weekend in downtown Grand Rapids.

Eastbound I-94 is currently closed near Exit 66 in Mattawan following a crash involving several semi-trucks and other vehicles.

Possibly the only not great thing about spring is that it marks the beginning of pothole and road construction season in West Michigan. The City of Grand Rapids announced Monday that a major intersection in Grand Rapids will close for two weeks in April: The corner of Michigan Street and Fuller Avenue NE will be getting a full concrete overhaul.

WZZM-13 reports Southbound US-31 has reopened in northern Muskegon County after a multi-vehicle accident involving dozens of vehicles. The pileup happened just before noon Wednesday in between White Lake Drive and Russell Road.

(WZZM-13) Northbound U.S. 131 has reopened in Allegan County following a snowy pile-up involving at least 10 vehicles around 11:20 a.m. Thursday morning. The accident happened at the 50 mile marker, about one mile north of Plainwell.

Filming for the movie "The End Of The Tour" could cause some traffic problems along I-196 on Thursday. A crew for "The End of the Tour" will be filming on the 196 between Fuller Ave. and Lake Michigan Dr. between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. West Michigan M-DOT has indicated that there will be some lane closure, and that at the least, traffic will be moving slower.

Construction projects are all around West Michigan. It's just the beginning of a long summer of slowdowns. If you're heading north this weekend, there's at least one construction zone to consider avoiding.
