In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, singer Stevie Nicks talked about 'touring like Prince', which involves a two hour concert at a venue followed by going to find a club 'to sing the other 14 songs'.

What club in Grand Rapids will Stevie show up to sing 'the other 14 songs'? Here are my odds on where that might be...

On November 23, Stevie Nicks will be appearing at the Van Andel Arena, so the after show would have to be at someplace fairly nearby. Here are my odds as to where you could potentially see Stevie Nicks perform for free late that evening:

1. Mojo's at 180 Monroe Ave. or Bobarino's, The BOB, 20 Monroe: Dueling piano bars offer the easiest road to musicians and adaptability. The players at both venues have to have wide oeuvre to even land a job at either place, so their knowledge of 'Edge of Seventeen' or 'Rhiannon' should be in place. Both are a quick walk over from downtown hotels, so it's an easy stop on the way home, but will they charge Stevie twenty bucks if she decides to sing 'Don't Stop Believing'? Time will tell. Odds of Stevie appearing at Bobarino's: 8-1 (they have a drummer), Mojo's 10-1

2. Billy's, 1437 Wealthy SE: Dank, dark blues bars are always an attraction for musicians to hang out and swap riffs, if Stevie likes her tunes a little more roots related, Billy's in Eastown would be a perfect destination. Not sure who's booked there for November 23, but they should brush up on some classic Fleetwood Mac tunes. Odds 12-1

3. Pyramid Scheme, 68 Commerce: Another divey bar, but being closer to the Arena and the downtown hotels makes it a little more accessible if Stevie doesn't want to go far. However, no one is currently booked for that night, so who will Stevie song with? Acapella, while fun for a minute, gets exhausting after 7 songs. Odds 15-1

4. The Intersection, 133 Grandville SW: The Section offers two potential spots for a Stevie singalong, the bigger back room, and the cozier Mustache Lounge up front. Like the Pyramid Scheme, as of this writing no one's is booked for either space, and the crowd on the night before Thanksgiving may wind up being very young, but hey, you told your kids about Stevie, right? Odds 20-1

5. Stella's, 53 Commerce: Another bar just a short walk from Van Andel, Stella's has a karaoke machine with all of Stevie and Fleetwood Mac's hits on it that can be pulled out to the bar area in a moment's notice. The problem is going to be finding a clear space in the bar to clear out for an impromptu show, and on the night before Thanksgiving, that's gonna be a tough order. Odds 50-1

My advice would be to keep your Social Media alerts set to 'Stevie Nicks' that night, and be ready to mobilize on a moment's notice.
