In a music world with constant 'Farewell Tours' (I'm looking at you, Cher) and 'Reunion Tours', it's almost refreshing to run across the band who says, 'No thanks, we've got enough money, we're good.'

And that band is ABBA.

I've always admired the performers who live the credo, 'That was then, this is now,' and walk off into the sunset, never to be heard from again. ABBA is one of them.

There are likely tons of ABBA fans who would love to see the Swedish quartet get back together for a tour, especially since all four members are still alive, but there’s a fat chance of that happening. ABBA member Björn Ulvaeus understands that the speculation of a reunion will never go away but he tells Billboard.com, “it’s kind of good to be the only group that never came back. Because I think we’re virtually the only group that could have a reunion that hasn’t had one.”

Bjorn says seeing older bands like the Rolling Stones or The Who hit the road time and time again doesn’t seem to make him yearn to get back on the road. In fact it does just the opposite. “Every time I see that I’m so happy that I don’t have to be there,” he says. “But to those guys it’s become a way of life, I suppose...To us touring meant nothing. I’m just relieved I don’t have to think about a tour, I can go out on my boat this afternoon in the archipelago…it’s wonderful.”

Besides, he adds, “touring was something we never really liked. It was like reproducing something we had already done. I was so oriented towards the next recording, that after a few concerts it kind of became boring.” Now you know.

Although I will admit there is a side of me that wants to see what kind of messed up outfits they would have come up with for a tour. Remember these?
