Cher has announced cancellation of all remaining dates on her Dressed To Kill (D2K) concert tour, including her Jan. 11, 2015, concert in Grand Rapids.

She made the announcement Wednesday night, having been hobbled by a viral infection affecting her kidneys since September, according to AEG Live.

Cher had completed 49 performances on the tour that opened in March, and was to have resumed this month in Lubbock, Texas. She had been touring with Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo.

While her progress had been good, the 68-year-old Cher’s doctors advised her to take more time to ensure a full recovery, according to AEG Live.

In a statement, Cher said: “I am totally devastated. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who bought tickets. I’m so proud of this show. It is my best ever.

"I sincerely hope that we can come back again next year and finish what we started.”

No new dates have been announced for the tour.

Ticket-holders for Van Andel Arena performance and other D2K Tour dates can get refunded on the tickets where they purchased them.

There were 29 Cher D2K Tour dates scuttled, also including Nov. 23 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills; Jan. 15, 2015, at Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Jan. 21, 2015, at United Center in Chicago.
