John Mellencamp’s Son Going to Jail…Sort Of

Your dad being a rock star isn't a get out of jail free card, but apparently there ARE certain privileges, like the way you serve your penalty.John Mellencamp's son pled guilty in April to a misdemeanor battery charge and has been sentenced to four days in jail, but there's a catch.

Speck reportedly suffers from a panic disorder, so he will serve his four days in 12-hour spurts. The 20-year-old Mellencamp will be behind bars from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on August 10th to the 13th and August 18th to 21st so a health care professional is on duty while he's behind bars.
