Christmas is only days away and if you are still struggling pick up last-minute gifts, instead of heading to the store, what not do a little shopping in your closet?

There's bound to be gifts you've already received that you don't want, or old ones in your closet collecting dust, so you might as well give them to someone who might get use out of them.

Jerry Seinfeld would be proud of you.

And if you think that's tacky, you're actually in the minority. In fact in 2014 survey by American Express found that three in four Americans consider regifting "socially acceptable." So that means you're REALLY in the minority!

So, what items can be easily regifted so that recipient doesn't suspect a thing?

  • Candles - As long as they've never been used, there still an impressive gift. So who cares if the gift giver didn't actually buy it?
  • Gift Cards - If a person you get gift card to a store you don't normally use, it's a perfect regift. Just make sure all the money still on it.
  • Housewares - Don't need another toaster? While somebody must.
  • Clothing - It's easy to get something that's not your style, so instead of letting it sit in a closet why not give it to someone else?
  • Soaps, Shower Gels And Lotions - A go-to gift for someone you don't know that well, which is why it's an easy one for you to give to a person you don't know that well.
  • Fruitcake - No one likes a fruitcake. Just face it it's always a regift.
  • Gift Baskets - As long as it doesn't contain items that will go bad or expire, it's already pre-wrapped for you. If you don't want what's in it maybe someone else will.
  • Booze - Wine and liquor is handed out quite often during the holidays, which could leave you with an overstocked liquor cabinet (is there really such a thing?). To empty it out might as well give that extra bottle of Chardonnay to someone else.
