Did You Know You Can Rent an Entire Grand Rapids City Pool For a Private Party?
When I was a kid, about the coolest kind of birthday party you could have was a pool party. Makes it kind of tough when you don't have a pool though... well, the City of Grand Rapids has a solution!
Grand Rapids City Pools Available for Private Rental
New last summer, all three Grand Rapids City pools are available for private rental for up to 100 people.
Rentals are only available on Sundays from 5:30p.m.to 7:30 p.m. and cost $400 for two hours.
If you're invested in reserving a date, you must do so two weeks in advance.
To reserve your rental date, call the City of GR at 616-456-3696.
According to the City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department, there are still some rentals available for this summer:
A full lifeguard staff will be on duty during all rentals.
Concessions won't be open, but you can bring your own food and drinks - excluding alcohol.
When Are Grand Rapids City Pools Open in 2023?
City of Grand Rapids pools and splash pads are open June 9 through August 19, 2023.
Pool hours for the 2023 season (outside of private pool rental) are:
- Mondays, 12:00 - 7:00 pm
- Tuesdays, 12:00 - 7:00 pm
- Wednesdays, 12:00 - 5:00 pm
- Thursdays, 12:00 - 7:00 pm
- Fridays, 12:00 - 7:00 pm
- Saturdays,12:00 - 7:00 pm
- Sundays, 12:00 - 4:00 pm

How Much Does it Cost to to Visit a Grand Rapids City Pool?
Outside of private parties, admission is $1 for Grand Rapids residents under 17, residents 18 and over are $3. For non-residents under 17 it's $3 and for those over 17, it's $5.
