According to Wood TV 8, city permit records show plans for a 4,827-square-foot DGX store at 111 Lyon St. NW. Dollar General confirmed to Wood TV 8 they are “highly interested” in opening a DGX there and expect to make a make a final decision in the coming weeks.

If all goes as planned, the store could open as early as fall 2021.

Construction is ongoing at the Fifth Third Center and expected to be completed by spring. Another business planned for the building is a new restaurant, West Michigan's first Texas de Brazil Steakhouse.
