Team WFGR Pasta Eating Contest!

I was at the Family Fare in Grandville for the Spartan Stores Smart Pasta eating contest. It was simple. Some members of the media would have to be the quickest to eat 3 cups of pasta for the chance to donate $1,000 to the charity of their choice. Although I'm a bigger guy, I'm far from a great timed eater. And it showed!

Peter Ross from out broadcast partner WZZM TV 13 finished first. He did the whole thing in less than 2 minutes. It's like he's a vacuum! WZZM finished in the top three, and donated $2,000 overlal to Toys For Tots.

I wasn't shut out! Even though I finished 8 out 10 (Thanks Lauren Stanton!) Spartan Stores made a $250 donation to Toys For Tots in my name too! Thanks!
